Best *Idea* For a Collaboration-Kevin Gilbert
I Think the New Album Title Should Be...-PG
Comments:
Album: I just really like this album and while not all of the songs on
there are my favorites it holds together really well as an album.
Besides who couldn't love a barbershop quartet led by Papabear himself
(that's Tony Levin ya know)
Song: Here Comes the Flood- cause whenever I hear it I want to cry and
no matter how much I hear it I still love it. Don't Give Up- Pete *and*
Kate, enough said. Washing of the Water- when I'm depressed and
unbearably sad this song reaches my soul like no other.
Favorite Genesis Album- this was tough cause I consider myself first of
all a Genesis fan. I went with the Lamb because there's so much depth to
it. No matter how many thousands of times you listen to it you hear
something new and profound each time. Each time I listen to it my
philosophy built around it expands. This was a close tie with Foxtrot
(home of Supper's Ready) and Selling England By the Pound. And Nursery
Cryme, Live, and Trespass. And don't forget that overlooked masterpiece
>From Genesis to Revelation. Oh hell I love them all :)
Least Favorite Song: How could you *not* like a Pete song?
Music Video: Sledgehammer is a classic groundbreaking video with enough
going on to keep you happy for 300+ viewings
Tour: Having never see His Peteness on tour I'll go with the tour Plays
Live was from. You have Pete in make-up and Tony Levin. Yummy!
CD-Rom- EVE, although it doesn't have Pete popping up to be adorable
like in Xplora1
Hair: he was so sexy then (still is of course :) That hair just suited
him so perfectly. So different and wonderful.
Album Cover: I'm just partial to Pete in make-up
Non Album Song- I'm not sure if Pete is yodeling or what but it just
goes to show it isn't necessary to understand him, he is *that* sexy
Collaboration: I love Kate almost as much as Pete and to have them sing
together is just simply beautiful. They could be singing a grocery list
and I wouldn't care, cause it'd still be Pete and Kate together.
Best Idea for a Collaboration: OK so it's unlikely seeing as Kevin is
dead, but too bad, this is my idea. Kevin Gilbert actually nearly became
the new singer for Genesis before his untimely death. He did a live
performance of The Lamb in it's entirety that is unbelievable. He in
many ways is reminiscent of a young Pete. Outside of Genesis and Pete he
is definitely my favorite artist.
Album Title: as someone else said you can satisfy both the two letter
requirement and go back to the self-titles

Love always to the gang at Solsbury Hill,
Lamb

PS: the thing where you find songs in EVE, you missed Supper's Ready,
through the dancing naked flower people obviously. (Although it seems
really unfair that Pete never got naked when he was dressed as a
flower.)
