Overcoming the K-Town Flu

First we want to give a shout-out to the German Orange Fans. Why? Last Sunday, Gabriel was all set to perform when he caught a bug...nothing major (Thank goodness!) but it was bad enough that Gabriel's doctor strongly advised him not to perform...a decision we fully support as we want PG to take good care of himself, which will benefit himself and the fans in the long run.

Anyway, Gabriel very regrettibly had to cancel the concert, which many fans traveled far and wide to attend to. Now, we went to a non-Gabriel concert years ago. When the performer had to cancel due to illness, the so-called "fans" practically rioted, booing and throwing a collective temper-tantrum. When said non-Gabriel performer came back to the same town years later, he felt obligated to continue to beg for forgiveness as the "fans" had let it be known that they were still pissed about the cancellation.

So, what did these disappointed Orange Fans do? They gathered, they commiserated, they bonded with each other. They wished Gabriel well, voiced their support, and sent him love. Then they partied and made the best out of a bad situation. They danced and sang GabeTunes. You can read the thread and see the pictures here that explains what we're talking about. We're proud to be associated with the Orange Fans!

The good news is that PG is okay, and should be performing the do-over concert as we speak.

Gabriel appeared on CNN International (Thanks to Karin for the link) to yak it Up about the OD2/LoudEye deal and all about digital music.

We're a bad, bad Committee. Marco sent us oodles of great backstage and fan shots of many of the Still Growing Up Tour as they plowed through Europe, but we got Gabriel disease, got distracted and never posted them. Wisely, Marco put them online himself. You can see all the galleries here. We especially like the Milan shots which are loaded with candid picts of Rachel Z and David Rhodes, and others.

Alex's Gabriel Room has some more pictures to his gallery. Ralf is starting a new site called orange-people.com. Ian's Come Talk to Me had some major changes to his site's design and content. Also, if you haven't already, check out the Full Moon Forums...they've tweaked the servers and now they feel zippy!

And finally...since our regular correspondent, Mac Cat, couldn't attended the summer shows, she sent a reprentation of herself, dubbed Mini-Mac, to some Solsburians who were making the trip to the UK. Mini-Mac's guardians were instructed to take pictures of Mini-Mac's travels, and Mini-Mac was instructed to write of her experiences.

Here is the first part of Mini-Mac's report in all it's glory. Enjoy and don't forget to look for Easter Eggs!

The Return of the Orange Jedi

We're still waiting for the gory details of the Solsburians "Still Growing Up" reports to come in but we have a fine sampling:

Roger Salem writes about his take on the concert in Milan.

Known on the forums as PLE, Tracey wrote up a thorough review of the Sheffield gig, complete with Monkeyman makeup!

And speaking of PLE, she deserves a medal for transcribing the 45 minute Peter Gabriel interview conducted by Rosanna Arquette...all 27 Word document pages of it. We did a short take on this interview here, but the actual interview has been long gone off the internet. Now all can read and enjoy!

Kinda old news: Gabriel and Co. sold OD2 to LoudEye for a nice price. We're not sure exactly what this means for Gabefans, though. Does Gabriel have any influence over OD2 now? How much influence did he have before the sale? Will Loudeye be able to use OD2 to come out on top of the online music wars? Will LoudEye's influence make key changes in marketing, pricing, and music file format options? And most importantly, does this mean PG is no longer in bed with Microsoft?

Hey, we're not the only ones with an anti-MS bias...go to NoodleHeaven, and use "view source" on your browser to see what the Noodle crew thinks of Internet Explorer. And check out their browser recommendation on the frontpage. And the credits, too.

And speaking of Noodle, soon you can access some new GabeTunes to Noodle around with, like "The Tower" and "Make Tomorrow." And don't forget to give the Noodle team your feedback.

Webpage round up: StacieDee has done some serious tweaking to All Things David Rhodes, and Ian has a chat room and forums to Come Talk To Me, as well as added a new song to his album for all to listen. Oh, and the Hill forums now have a chat room, too!

And one more thing: We know you're probably sick of hearing about the forums, but if you don't check it out, you'll miss out on stuff like this: "I will in 10 years another album make." Hmmmm...yesssss...

June-something

Okay, we're back. Sort of.

The actual "stage tour" part is over, and Gabriel is doing festival gigs now. Our Solsburian contingent who went to the UK have safely returned but they have yet to tell their full stories, as that will take some time. Mini-Mac is visiting StacieDee in some other state, but will back at Solsbury HQ next week, and we will start transcibing her journal soon thereafter. Many photos have been taken of Gabriel, the band, and fans alike, but full context has not been fully provided. But they will, oh yes, they will. The short story is, they had a wonderful time meeting up with fellow Solsburians and Lunatics, was blown away from the shows, and was harassed by UK concert security. We will comment more on that at a later time...

But in the meantime...let's clean house...

Set lists can be found on The Movement page.

Now, not only Tony Levin has his continuing Road Diary filled with excellent pictures, but so does Rachel Z! Can't get enough of the Z? Shealso has her own Italian Yahoo! Group. You can subscribe here.

Rust has a gallery of concert pictures.

Lia has some nice shots, too.

Drew and Anna got some pics of the show in Sheffield

Alex has updated his Gabelicious PG site.

Ian has a new site called "Come Talk to Me" that's filled with love and PG, and some music Ian made. Go to this page and have a listen. Highly recommended.

Nice t-shirt design!

There's a nice Italian Genesis/Gabriel forum here.

A new sharp looking German fansite can be found here.

Here's some old-school Genesis pictures.

Tune in next update where we will present tour stories from AnnaRose, Roger Salem, PLE, and some backstage pictures from Marco, and much much more! Also, the introduction of a new site by Jakks. And then...the secret diary of Mini Mac.

May 13, 2004

Hey, everyone!

We're still on break until June, but, darn it, we just can't stay away. We want to point out a few things.

genesis-movement.org has exciting news (but not much details) of a box set and Son of Ovo. We're skeptical that these songs will show up in Box Set form (After all, PG just released a compliation effort with Hit) but still, it looks like at least some of those 120 songs in the magic vault might see the light of day yet. For those obsessed with set lists (Which is not us. It's just a list of songs. Nothing to get excited about.) you can get them on the same site here.

Anna Marie's documentary on PG has already been released to very good reviews. It's short, only 40 minutes, but it's very interesting and well produced, with a huge emphasis on fun. A must-have for the PG fan. You can get all the information you need at pg.com, and you must read the brilliantly goofy interview given by Graham Dean located on the left side of documentary page. Lots of jokes, embarassing moments (wriggly what?!), cheap shots at Gabriel's workpace, candor, and things you'd never discuss with your dad.

Forget PG's other friends, family, and bandmates...after reading this excellent transcription, we've decided that Graham needs to get on board with being the official Real World/PG writer and archivist. Or at least become an official Solsburian Spy.

Songs "Wild" and "Baby Man" have been leaked out. We'd comment on them but we're still too busy listening to "Burn You Up". Okay, we have listened to Wild, and while it's a great rockin' mood piece, it's not as Wild as it's name implies. Should've been called "Pretty Darn Good."

Speaking of "Burn You Up", Gabriel has started performing this song live at the shows in Europe. We haven't heard how well this song has worked live, or if he made any signifigant changes. A new version of "White Ashes" is showing up in the new show, with actual lryics, no less!

Now is the time to mention that while we're not posting concert reports at this very moment, we'd still like to hear from people with any thoughts of the shows (even what you did before and after!) for possible future inclusion on this site. We heard one interesing tidbit: the Orange People forgot to put out the bike for "Solsbury Hill" so PG just jogged around the stage.

Gabriel is slated to be a big music contributor on the next Myst project, "Myst Revelations". One song is rumored to be a remix of a past PG rarity well known to dedicated fans.

We want to welcome Alex Storer to Gabeweb with his new website, The Gabriel Room. Check there for news and exclusive photos!

· StacieDee's site of David Rhodes is still going strong with exclusive FAQs directly from Rhodes himself, plus a new rare interview.

As always, you can't go wrong with Tony Levin's site for news and pictures.

That's all for now.In June we'll try to start things back up again with an improved scrapbook and stories and reports of the gigs in Europe.

PS: Hope the summer is finding you well and in good health. The good news is that we found some mojo, but now we're deeply involved a building a Garden Grill at the new headquarters so we can use the mojo marinade on stuff.

April 7, 2004

Some news, and an announcement!

First, StacieDee of davidrhodes.org was kind enough to transcribe a pretty substantial blast-from-the-past article from1986. Gabriel talks a lot about technology and producer Bob Ezrin. Speaking of which, we want to congratulate Bob Ezrin for his induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

We've been slacking on the current PG news, but genesis-movement.org is picking up the slack.

There, you can se that Michael Loesl got to interview PG concering Anna Marie's Growing Up documentary and Newport gig. We linked to one of Michael's earlier articles on genesis-movement.org last year, but it's still worth reviewing for projects that are coming to reality today.

Michael Lindsay wrote us to ask, "Is that PG's voice I hear in the final quarter of this movie tralier?" The answer is, "Yup."

Lunatics have received e-mails concerning the nifty package deals being offered on the Summer Tour. Alas, even at those fantastic prices, we can't afford to get in on that deal. However, our Director of Coffee, Mac Cat, has come up with a way to go to the concert: She's sending an avatar (in this instance, a plush kitty-cat named Mini Mac) to some Solsburians who will be going to the UK to attend the shows. Mini Mac will represent Mac Cat for the UK shows.

These guardians of Mini-Mac will take her everywhere on their travels including Stonehenge, Box village, and the Real Solsbury Hill. Oh, and the concerts, too! They will even take Mini-Mac to the meetings to take place at the Solsburian meet-up at Green Man Pub prior to the shows. So, if you're going to the shows, you too can meet up with Mini-Mac! Hopefully, the Guardians of Mini-Mac will write of their travels, take pictures, and write a detailed report of the shows there.

And now the announcement: The Solsbury Hill Homepage Committee is going on a quest to look for some lost mojo. This means there will be no new updates here until June. E-mail and the forums will still be closely monitored. In the meantime, you can visit a site that dares to ask the question, "Which Peter Gabriel Song Are You?"

March 17, 2004

Janet gave us the set list to the Newport gig. It follows as thus:

Washing of the Water
That Voice Again
Solsbury Hill
Mercy Street
In Your Eyes
Father Son

A solo acoustic "That Voice Again" sounds particularly intriguing...here's hoping we get to have a listen to it!

Here's an article concerning the show: Karin's submission of this brief overview at Boston.com.

Solsburian comrade StacieDee consulted us here in the Solsbury Committee for advice in creating a David Rhodes fan site. She also was prudent enough to write Real World to ask if it was okay by them to create such a site. To make a long story short, David Rhodes wrote her back. You can view the results of the Q&A exchange from Mr. Rhodes himself, and much much more at StacieDee's site, davidrhodes.org. Stop in, look around, learn, and say hi!

And last but not least, Davide from Italy had some experiences when he and his friends visited Real World Studios and climbed Solsbury Hill. It seems they met some cool dude at the studios, but we'll let Davide tell his tale. Here's the story of the studio visit and here's the story of the Hill. Pictures included.

March 6, 2004

Well, Gabriel has performed his excellent solo concert at the Newport Film Festival, and James Farrelly was the first to point us to this article about it. Unfortunately, we still don't have any reports yet or even the set list, but we've heard rumors that this show will show up shortly in some kind of format (Radio Real World Movie? OD2 download? Noodle mix?). Speaking of Noodle, check out the news page on pg.com. Now the whole Noodle project is kicking into high gear with new samples and exclusive downloads at Noodle Heaven. Want to tell the world how happy you are with Noodle? Remember they still have the Noodle Forums!

Tune in next update where he finally make a much needed addition to our fan archives and include a new survey!

PS: Those Martians have good taste in music!

Burn You Up, Burn You Down

Yes, we finally got our fireplace installed, and the sacrifices and burnt offerings are well underway, as well as much-needed learning experiences on starting and maintaining a proper fire (Lesson #1, open the flue.)

Okay, we just want to post to take down the embarassing picture of Peter, not that we don't like embarassing him whenever possible.

Anyway, we forgot to give him this birthday gift, created by Solsburian EuroDisneyFreak: His very own minions!

EuroDisney is the same one who has been scanning and contributing the Gabbleratchets that have been feature here, and the last one, issue 41, has been scanned is now online. You can find it on the new Gabbleratchet archive page!

If you're seen the Big Room videos over on Radio Real World and want to see an unedited version filmed by a fan, John Mills gives us this link to a huge movie file of Gabriel's performance of "Secret World". Both Gabriel and Melanie look like they're having a blast! Poor Ged looks like he's been banished to a different room.

We mentioned this in the last update, but it deserves further mention: Gabriel is performing in Rhode Island on March 5 for the premiere of Anna Marie's movie, "Growing Up On Tour". Besides we heard some inside news that the movie is very good, Gabriel is performing solo, just him and a piano, and rumor has it that he's going to peform some songs that he hasn't done in a long time.

We can't wait to report the details on this show.Just a few more sacrifices in the fireplace, and hopefully PG will do the same show for us in our condo headquarters.

Until next time!

Feb 13, 2004

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PETER GABRIEL!

Yes, it's last year's picture, but c'mon...how could we not use it again?

Wow! Our boy is 54 years old. Honestly, we don't have much for The Gabe this year except for a couple of birthday threads with some happy wishes. What do you get the man who has a Zorb fer pete's sake?! We hope this year that he gets lots of love, has a great tour, has fun with the family!

We don't have much to offer, but, hey, at least we brought dessert!

Oh, and a quick note, from g_rody: Check this out and scroll to Gabriel Gala...anyone out there who can loan us $500?

Light My Fire

Yet another half-assed update. Now we're obsessed with fixing up the fireplace in our new headquarters. We need the fireplace to be fully operational so we can make burnt offerings and conduct ceremonial sacrifices. Hey, when you wanna either get PG to perform in your hometown or get free airfare to the UK to see a show there, you need all the magic and mojo you can get.

Mudda has a website online and we've already wrote and told them we're giving them a new name whether they like it or not. Now we just need to come up with a new name. Considering the names that have been bandied around so far, we've concluded we need help...please contribute your ideas to this thread.

European dates keep on getting added to the itinerary. Check to see if your town is listed.

Jakks came up with this article that he transcribed concerning the Growing Up tour. "Baby Man"? Probably that name will change five times before it goes public...

Tina has a new competition up that has one of the best prizes so far...the extra-special edition of the Encore series!

Smilesigns and SmilesSis have come through yet again with a new Gabbleratchet, the newletter from Peter's Past. Someday we'll properly archive all the Gabbleratchets on the Hill. Someday.

Gotta run...we need to contact ApeNet and ask the bonobos if they're interested in joining MUDDA. And we're also asking if they can come up with a new name for MUDDA as well...they can't do much worse.

Use Your Noodle

Okay, we're still fixing up the new headquarters, and frankly, there hadn't been much news, except for really depressing things that we really don't enjoy writing about. Damn it, Jim, we're a fanpage, not an obituary.

Still, if you haven't already heard the sad news, follow the links here and here and know that all of those involved in these tragedies are in our thoughts and prayers.

Everyone is essentially waiting for the Still Growing Up tour to take place. But we do have a couple of items for you today.

Karin, Anna Rose, and Drowse alerted us to an article concerning Gabriel at the World Economic Forum at Davos. Go read it. We'll be here when you get back.

You're back? Good.

We must comment on the name of this Musicians Union: Magnificent Union of Digitally Downloading Artists aka Mudda.

Worst. Acronym. Ever.

We pray he's joking. This name is incredibly idiotic. It's even a dumber acronym than...er...Womad. With a name like that, this union is going to spend most of its time trying to get people to take them seriously. And we hope people *do* take them seriously because it's a great idea and we're proud of Gabriel for coming up with this.

Judging from the article the focus seems to be to get artists and music fans to work out a new business model for maximum benefit for all sides. Our advice to PG (besides a name change): (1) We suggest that Gabriel also uses this union to smack some sense into the bigwigs at the record labels, 'coz if there's anyone who needs a wake-up call, it's them. (2) Now that PG is officially a Union Leader, we advise that he not end up like Jimmy Hoffa.

We suspect that this musicians' union will be an even bigger deal than OD2. We wish you luck Mudda...even if you do have a extrordinarily dumb name!

Oh, and we mentioned this before on the Hill, and we'll say it again...a few years ago at Davos, Gabriel entered a debate with Napster, which was covered by a pinhead journalist who failed to mention any of Gabriel's efforts to support smaller acts and allow people to download cheap music without harming artists, and then taunted PG in the final paragraph. Hey, Mr. Tong, what wine goes good with crow?

Want something to do whilst waiting for the tour? If you got a copy of Hit (and we know you do) you can create mixes of Growing Up and The Tower using the included program called Noodle. And now you can share those files on the Noodle Forums! We'd like to say welcome to the Gabeweb community Noodle Forum administrators, and yes, phpBB does rock!

The Beard Has Landed

Hey, everyone! Hope you had a lovely holiday season.

We could give you a sob story about being so busy and not being able to update the Hill, but since we've been yammering endlessly on the forums, we don't think you'd buy that. We've just been distracted and not wanting to focus on the task at hand. C'mon, we all know people like this.

First off, the mulitiude of European tour dates for the Still Growing Up tour is confirmed up on Radio Real World. And the two dates we had shown earlier as being in London in July? They're actually in June. We're sorry for the confusion, and we vow never to get our info from dubious and shady sources ever again.

Smilesigns has posted two more copies of Gabbleratchet for your reading pleasure. One is here, and the other is here, in conveinent .pdf format.

Then there's a fascinating behind-the-scenes article of the Growing Up tour visuals courtesy of Gabrielized.

And Sue Klaus shows us an article called Getting Up about PG, Up, and da music biz. And finally, James Farrelly (prounouced Farley) sent us this link to a cover Mercy Street. Check out track two.

Well, we're finally getting settled into the new HQ, although we're evidently having trouble getting our Solsburian mojo working. We're also distracted by the fact we, for the first time ever, have cable. (If ever decide we want to give up this PG fansite schtick, we're going to convert this page to an Aqua Teen Hunger Force fansite in 10 seconds flat.)

Since we changed physical location, we also decided to change our e-mail address as well as seen on the left on this page. Just click to send mail, and if you've sent us e-mail in the past month and we didn't respond, we encourage you to re-send your message and we may pay attention to it this time.

Until next time...

Bah, Humbug!

The Good News: We survived the move. The bad news, we don't feel like doin' jack, including posting updates and putting up the traditional Christmas pict.

However, we had to note that we're excited about the PG tour dates! Here they are:

England 1-Jun-2004 Birmingham - NIA
England 2-Jun-2004 Sheffield - Arena
England 4-Jun-2004 Newcastle - Arena
Scotland 5-Jun-2004 Glasgow - SECC

England 7-Jun-2004 London - Wembley Arena
England 8-Jun-2004 London - Wembley Arena

Also on this forum thread, one of our sources notes some German dates, but note they are not listed on Radio Real World.

There was a funny reference to PG and the movie Say Anything on South Park, and Intruder posted the scene for all to see.

And to tide you over until after Christmas, codename: Smiliesigns and smilie_sis dug up some old copies of the mid-80's official fanzine/newsletter Gabbleratchet. You can view scans of it, but we recommend downloading the whole pdf file. Just the one issue for now, but there will be more to come!

And last but not least, PLE was kind enough to transcribe a series of PG interviews broadcast on BBC radio last week which provide some insight into what PG's head sounds like.

Happy holidays everyone, and around mid-January things will be getting back to normal. Well, at least what we consider normal for us:)

Dec. 8, 2003

Still in the process of getting moved into the new headquarters.

But thanks to kikk, we have (1) a housewarming gift of Hit to keep us sane and (2) there is also a neato transcription of the BBC show Five Live, where PG is interviewed with magician David Blaine.

Hopefully we'll be able to post another short interview transcription and some pictures of the Real World studio contest performance in the next update!

Nov. 28, 2003

While everyone else is out shopping, we'll be painting our new headquarters. But before we start that job, here's a quick update:

Three lovely Solsburians have sent in reports of the Brighton gig, and a lovely picture to boot.

You can see footage of PG introducing Martin Bennett here.

Tony Levin has some pictures and info of the private Real World gig, and says it might be up for webcast viewing soon.

And keep an eye out for the webcast of the South Africa performance tomorrow.

Gotta run. Soon everyone at the local Lowe's and Home Depot will know us all by name!

Nov. 22 2003

Well, the Hill is still lame as we're still in the process of buying new headquarters. But we decided to break the monotony by way of a little update.

With a little help from our forum friends: Tony Levin says there is going to be a webcast of the private concert in Bath, but no news yet as of where. Our advice is to look at Real World's news page and/or Tony's page sometime tomorrow. No one we know won admission to the private concert on Sunday, but maybe someone will be able to report to us about it!

Here's the set list of the charity gig in London:

Games Without Frontiers
Burn You Up, Burn You Down
Mercy Street
Solsbury Hill
Sledgehammer
In Your Eyes
Secret World

Thanks to g_rody for finding this: Real Player should open up to start playing some remixes for In Your Eyes and Secret World.

The DVD and Hit is getting great reviews from those who managed to get copies. Of the two discs of Hit, one labeled "Hits" and the other "Misses". The "Misses" contain the true hits for most Gabe Geeks. Larry discovered a a quick review of the DVD over at Rock Ahead.

We mentioned Gabriel's South Africa show on Nov 29..."" and Katmandu and Augie told us that PG and the artist formerly known as Cat Stevens will be performing "Wild World" together. That's cool, but Moxie doesn't understand why someone with the world's coolest first name would want to go and change it...

Tim from Chicago says that Amazon is showing a fourteen minute version of "Burn You Up" to be used on Uru: Ages of Myst. That should kill some time between Gabe gigs and Hill updates!

Speaking of Gabe gigs, James Farrelly noted with great anticipation that on pg.com's tour section, they say, "Keeping Peter and the band warm in the winter lull between the last outings of Growing Up Live this year and the soon to be announced dates provisionaly slated for May 2004 are a few exclusive little events you may want to try and add to your diary." A tour? Maybe, maybe not. And where? Our new headquaters? We can dream...

Well, we'll be busy with the headquarters move and Thanksgiving but until then, check out this Silly Solsburian Assignment on the forums...

Peter Gabriel Must Be Butter...

'Cos he's on a roll.

There's so many things going on, that we must resort to a smiliey bulleted list.

As of right now, winners have started to get notified for their chance to see PG perform live at Real World Studios! If you're a winner, please let us know! We would've loved to have entered this contest, but we couldn't because we couldn't afford to buy the DVD/Hit combo, let alone airfare to the UK. See below for more details. At any rate, congratulations to the winners!

A few fine folks have obtained copies of the Growing Up DVD. We don't want to give away spoilers, but reports have been very good. We would've loved to get a copy, but we can't afford it right now. See below for more details.

A few folks have gotten their copies of Hit. Reviews have been mixed among the fans who think the song list quality ranges from kick-ass to half-assed, but almost everyone says it's worth it just for the reworkings of "Burn You Up" and "The Tower." We would love to have a copy, but we can't afford it right now. See below for more details.

Gabriel is looking for a new label...we're joyed with this news, because while Virgin and Geffen was good to Gabe at one time, those labels got bought out by Universal and EMI and then they got bought out by Interscope. Interscope is the Microsoft of music and they've proven to not really give a damn about Peter Gabriel. This is clearly evidenced by the poor marketing of Up and surrounding releases and the tours.

Karin and Ken Carsarsa sent us these links with more info, one from Yahoo, and one from Billboard.

This development also explains the existence of Hit, and why the set list isn't as beefy as some would like it to be...PG put this out to fullfill his obligations to Interscope before kissing those guys goodbye.

We hope Peter ditches them for a better label and finds greener pastures. We'd love to buy PG's old contract from Ineterscope, but we can't afford it...see below for more details.

There's that little Brighton gig on Nov. 24 to give the Brits a little taste of the U.S. summer tour, Segways and all! We've got friends in attendance who are willing to tell us all about that show, and we'll share it with you!

Gabriel is performing at the Children in Need Concert right after the Studios gig. We'd love to attend that show, but we can't afford it. See below for more details.

Not only is PG performing the special Real World Studios gig, he's also playing at a special AIDS benefit in Cape Town. We'd love to attend that show too, but we can't afford it. See below for more details.

Igor Diaz has been rounding up French radio/tv interviews from France! Here's the info and audio of one for RTL2, and another one for France Inter in RealAudio. Igor was also cool enough to send some pictures of one of the interviews:

Solsburian contriubtor Michael Loesl has an nice interview with PG as an exclusive to Genesis: The Movement.

Karin was the first to show us this one: Check out this great interview in The Telegraph!

The opening paragraph really caught our attention...

Having offered me coffee, Peter Gabriel disappears into the kitchen for several minutes before returning with a small cafetiere. "As a studio owner, you soon learn what people like to nick," he says. "Microphones I can understand. But we used to have about a dozen of these things; now we have one."

Hey! When the UK Campus of Solsburian Spies gave us those 11 cafetieres for Christmas last year, they told us they got them at Costco! Those cheap bastards!

Anyway, it's cool to know that PG is a good host and knows how to make a cup of joe.

We'd love to pay to ship them back to Real World, but we can't afford to. Please see below for more details.

Gerhard says, "At the Theater Neumarkt in Zürich, Switzerland they are staging a German version of The Lamb lies down on Broadway! Should there be some interest, here's the link. This page is in German, but the pictures might as well be looked at by differently-tongued people."

A Different Tongue? Wasn't that off of Passion?

Karin sent us a series of the coolest Gabepicts known to Man, both old-school and new school Gabe. We're very grateful to receive them, and we're anxious to share them with you, but there's been a delay with adding them to the Scrapbook...

Such a Struggle Getting Through These Changes...

As you may have noticed, the Hill has been sucking lately in the form of not updating as frequently as would be justified.

Well, remember when we had trouble moving the site from one server to another? Well, there have been some concerns of our physical Solsburian Headquarters location. See, we've been renting our current HQ residence for the past several years, and we've become deeply settled in. But our landlord was forced into bankruptcy, thus forcing us into finding new digs for our computer and coffee supply. The search was long and perilous, but we found a place to buy. We're closing on our new condo headquarters this month.

So, we're busy with the massive paperwork involved in getting a first mortgage. The good news is the new place is great. We can trade our cheap ass inflatable java jacuzzi (routinely filled with mocha Kahlua) for a nice hardsided, floor level one. Once we're settled in, we'll be happy, and when we're happy, you're happy.

The bad news is that between the mortgage closing, fixing everything up, moving to the new place, and the holidays, the Hill will continue to suck at least until January, 2004. We will do our best reduce the suckage by including brief updates of important information. And we'll be sure to read and assess for possible publication any reports or information that you'd like to send to us. But don't expect a whole lot of uber-updates until after the new year even though there's a lot going on in Gabeland.

Wish us luck and may God and Gabe bless our new home!
