ever made.
Favorite Music Video Don't Give Up- (Simple-plus Kate
has such a beautiful voice and presence about herself. You'll
never look at an eclipse the same way again).
Favorite Tour Believe it

Favorite CD ROM Your lucky I knew how to copy and paste

produce Art!!! This was way to long.
Best *Idea* For a Collaboration Nick Cave
I Think the New Album Title Should Be...whatever..if it's
released in 2003. Although, I do like the title: "Why I
think Phil Collins is a sellout overrated hack"!

I Think the New Album Title Should Be... - I like Up
Comments: Glad the album is almost here!
67 Scott Kennedy
- Favorite Album: Hmm, PG1. To this day, I've never
seen another album with the word "Burgermeister" mentioned
in the song title.
Favorite Song: The Indigo-I Have The Touch-Moribund The
Burgermeister-San Jacinto-Song This could count as one song couldn't
it?
Favorite Gabriel-Era Genesis Album: It's virtually impossible
to deny The Lamb, but after seeing him dramatize the line, "Let
me get to know your flesh," from The Musical Box on VH1's
Behind The Music, I became hooked on Nursery Cryme.
Least Favorite Song: Waiting For The Big One It's not
necessarily a bad song, this just happens to be the only one
I skip for some reason.
Favorite Music Video: Shock The Monkey I love it when
he's painted white, looking abnormal.
Favorite Tour: Only 19. The Up Tour will be my first,
and most likely, my most favorite. Can't wait. Driving "Up"
to Chicago from my University in Saint Louis. Oh yeah, that tour
where he looks like a construction worker looked pretty, freakin
neat.
Favorite CD ROM: Haven't checked'em out yet.
Best Hair Era: Definitely the long hair with Genesis.
I bet he attracted all the ladies.
Favorite Album Cover: PG4 Somewhat of an enigma when it
comes to album covers. I love it. I have the vinyl framed and
hung UP in my dorm room. (Stole it from Dad's collection:) It's
still in impeccable shape.)
Favorite Non-Album Song: Lovetown
Favorite Collaboration: PG with The Blind Boys of Alabama
is great to see. Saw "The Boys" in Nashville earlier
this year.
Favorite Non-Gabriellian Artist: SO so so many. Can I
give you two? YES and Miles Davis
Favorite Pastime Between Album Releases: Hyperbole aside,
looking up solsburyhill.org!!
Best *Idea* For a Collaboration: How about a collaboration
between PG and Garth Brooks? Hey, Garth's more talented than
you think, and he's the highest selling solo-artist in American
music history (according to the RIAA). Now that would be interesting.
I Think the New Album Title Should Be... Input/Output
will work just fine.
Comments: I consider PG to be another one of my University
professors. His songs are my tutorials. So, I make sure I listen
aside from just hear.
68 Bård Larsen, Oslo, Norway

beat Brasil in the soccer WC ( not on a regular basis, but it
did happen in 1998 ).
Best *Idea* For a Collaboration: ( more ) BT
I Think the New Album Title Should Be...: eh? If he survives
the time it takes to put out a new one he can name it anything!
I/O is good enough for me!
Comments: Been listening to Up for a few days and it works!
Darkness, No Way Out and More Than This are up there with his
best work. But BWS? Honestly!?

Best *Idea* For a Collaboration: Annie Lennox, or Tony
Banks again since I'd like to hear
Tony's melodies with Gabriel's rhythms (just don't call it Genesis!!!)
I Think the New Album Title Should Be... "UP II:
What I've been doing for the past ten years"
Comments: Excellent website- it's better than most *official*
band sites! This is a good
place to brag: while in college I used to help clean a movie
theater in the wee hours
of the morning. My favorite time was when I was done (of course),
but not so I could leave,
but so I could put PG IV (Security) and Passion in the CD player,
crank up the
multi-channel sound in the large auditorium, and just chill.
This was just before "home
theaters" took off, so hearing the ending to "Rhythm
of the Heat" in surround each
night rocked!

71 Ronny, Neutral Buoyancy Lab, Johnson Space Center, NASA
- Favorite Album: IV (Mask)
Favorite Song: For visceral power: "The Rhythm of
the Heat." For chilling beauty: "Wallflower" and
"I Grieve."
Favorite Gabriel-Era Genesis Album: From Genesis to Revelation...ok,
I'm kidding. The Lamb.
Least Favorite Song: "Waiting for the Big One."
(Remember, least favorite is still a favorite.)
Favorite Music Video: "Shock the Monkey."
Favorite Tour: The Lamb, and the first solo tour. The
first because of my
disbelief that so much entertainment could be presented at one
time. The
second because of the relief that Peter did not need those other
guys and
the costumes to totally mesmerize. However, he did dress up as
Rael for the
encore ("Back in NYC").
Favorite CD ROM: I haven't experienced any of them, so
I love them all.
Best Hair Era: The Us era.
Favorite Album Cover: III (Melt)
Favorite Non-Album Song: If soundtrack or other artists'
albums count as
non-album, then I choose the "I Have the Touch" remix
from Phenomenon. If
not, then I choose "Song Without Words" before it become
"Indigo."
Favorite Collaboration: Robbie Robertson ("Fallen
Angel") and Afro-Celt
Sound System ("When You're Falling"). Is there a theme
here?
Favorite Non-Gabriellian Artist: Of course there are many:
Early and
middle Jethro Tull, Nick Drake, Peter Hammill, Joni Mitchell,
Tori Amos, Oingo Boingo.
Favorite Pastime Between Album Releases: Living a full,
satisfying, well
examined life with many friends and accomplishments, growing
old gracefully,
dying quietly, reincarnating into another being with a sound
system ("such a
struggle getting through these changes"), and (re-)discovering
the music of
Peter Gabriel, and looking forward to September for the next
album release.
Best *Idea* For a Collaboration: I like Denise's idea
above, Loreena McKennitt.
I Think the New Album Title Should Be...: In keeping with
the So (sew) Us Up
progression, we have to keep the newer letter and throw out the
older.
Therefore we have a two-letter word containing "p".
Our two choices are
therefore, "Pi" and "Pa." "Pa"
will give us: "Sew us up, Pa," which works if
you assume that the dad is medically trained. "Pi"
doesn't work in this
context, and will not be recommended. "Pa" will also
set the stage for
inclusion of an improved version of "Father, Son" and
maybe a cover version
of Cat Stevens' "Father and Son" to renew that old
collaboration. There is
also the opportunity to add another branch of the World Music
tree: polka
music (you know, oom-Pa-Pa). So, my answer is an enthusiastic:
"Pa!"
Comments: I appreciate your website. You have the proper
balance of
reverence and sass, and a wealth of news.

Best *Idea* For a Collaboration - Peter Gabriel and David
Bowie together - just once!
I Think the New Album Title Should Be... "Not Naff"
: )
Comments: Great survey. I'm never any good at just
choosing "one" of any thing PG-ish, so some of my answers
are lame - or "naff" : )

Comments:
I think one of the most overlooked things that Peter has done
has been the
EVE CD Rom. He never seems to mention it when they ask him what
he's been
dong the last 10 years. There is truly nothing like it. Not sure
why not
more people know about it.
