- Favorite Album: PG4/Security.
EVERY song on the album [except "Shock the Monkey,"
which is "merely" (!!!) a great tune] resonates for
me in an extremely powerful way, each for its own unique reason.
Favorite Song: "In Your Eyes." Always has been
(well, since he wrote it), always will be. (This is probably
the only PG-related "absolute" Iím comfortable
statingóother than the fact that Iím forever a
fan.) After that it gets difficult to near-impossible . . . a
tie between six to eight other songs, and thatís only
if I HAVE to choose . . .
Favorite Gabriel-Era Genesis Album: "The Lamb"
. . . no contest at all. And believe it or not, itís "Trespass"
after that.
Least Favorite Song: Iíve never really liked "Big
Time." It was briefly supplanted as my least fave by "The
Barry Williams Show," but seeing TBWS performed live gave
me a new appreciation (actually, a first-time appreciation) of
it.
Favorite Music Video: Is it cheating to say "PoV"
in its entirety?
Favorite Tour: Secret World
Favorite CD ROM: Gotta say Xplora, since itís the
only one I've seen so far (my computer is a Mac).
Best Hair Era: "So" era, or the slightly (I
emphasize slightly!) longish hair soon after
Favorite Album Cover: So, then Ovo
Favorite Non-Album Song: Wow . . . umm . . . that changes
a lot. At the moment itís probably either "Walk Through
the Fire" or "No More (Apartheid)."
Favorite Collaboration: Long-term--Peter/Tony/David/Manu
(or is that stating the obvious?). Specific track--PG and Shankar
on "Open" (from Passion). VocallyóPG and Sinead
OíConnor. Everything else aside, their voices blend stunningly.
The Joy FactoróYoussou NíDour. Iíve never
seen PG smile so much or so openly while performing with
anyone else.
Favorite Non-Gabriellian Artist: You know, before seeing
PG last December I could have answered that. Really. Now, months
later and still in the throes of post-concert obsession, my response
is, "There are **other** artists???"
Favorite Pastime Between Album Releases: Dare I say "growing
up"? Okay, okay, there have been enough digs at his album-crafting
speed (or lack thereof) . . . Oh, seriously? Learning to play
the tablas (North Indian hand drums) and loving it.
Best *Idea* For a Collaboration: An entire album of highly
emotive Gabrielese (is there any other kind?) over a background
of instrumental world music. In other words, "Passion"
all over again but with PG vocalizing on *every* track, and a
selection of musical "flavors" from many different
cultures, not just Middle Eastern. (That was off the top of my
head. Iím sure that as soon as I hit "send"
Iíll think of something else. But Iíd love this.)
- I Think the New Album Title Should
Be: Um. In honor of PG being interviewed.
:-)

- Favourate Album:
"US"
- Favourate Song: Solsbury
Hill ("Secret World" version)
- Gabriel-Era Genesis Album: "the Lamb"
- Least Favourate Song: "Slow Water" (from "Birdy")
or "Make Tommorow" (from "OVO")
- Favourate Music Video: "Big Time"
- Favourate Tour:
I have to say "Secret World"
- Favourate CD ROM: Like many it seems, i've yet to see any of them.
- Best Hair Era: I
liked the short hair thing, like in the videos for "Games"
and "Shock".
- Favourate Album Cover: I'll say "Up", cuz for the first few
months i didn't even notice the faces in the water drops, or
the face in the background, and when i finally did i was like,
"whoa... cool".
- Favourate Non-Album Song: I remember hearing a really cool tune over the
end credits of "the Fifth Element" that I don't know
the name of. I don't think it's actually a Gabriel song, he just
guested on it.
- Favourate Collaboration: Obviously this
excludes people like Tony, Manu Katche, or Daniel Lanois... besides
them, i'd say... The Blind Boys of Alabama!
- Favourate Non-Gabriel Artist: Frank Zappa (i'm into everything)
- Favourate Passtime Between Albums: Playing drums, guitar, keyboards and singing in
several different bands. Also, i like recording my own home versions
of Pete's songs.
- Best Idea For A Collaboration: Radiohead
- I Think The New Album Title Should
Be: (self-titled)
- Comments: I
just have to say that Peter's last album and tour was so freakin'
incredible, and it's just so great to see that at 52 he can still
do it just as good as ever. He's everything i aspire to be as
a songwriter, performer and overall person. Here's hoping he
doesn't stop anytime soon.

I Think the New Album Title Should Be...: I like the "One
Album called
Input, the next one Output." although its likely we'd see
Input and then
never see Output... :\

- Favorite Album:
US, No wait, So, No wait, PG 1 Hmm I'd better say SWL because
it has greats from each of those. ( non live albums; US is my
favorite)
- Favorite Song: said

SWL) but as for real videos....
- Favorite Tour GRowing
Up because I actualy made it to that tour

SWL, cool goatee, still had hair, and actualy the start of male
pattern baldness gave it a cool definition.
- Favorite Album Cover US, (it took me a while to realize it was a woman)
- Favorite Non-Album Song it used to be S2N but now that's on UP, so I'd
have to say Nocturnals (once he puts that on I/O I'll say party
man)
- Favorite Collaboration Afro Celts "When You're Falling"
- Favorite Non-Gabriellian Artist "The Blessing" "U2"
- Favorite Pastime Between Album Releases
Well I discovered PG after SWL
was released, so my past time for those 8 years was to explore
his back catalog! Also I enjoy following movie gossip and rumors,
watching movies, and being a big Superman fan.
- Best *Idea* For a Collaboration: PG guest starring on The Simpsons, Homer Singing
along to Sledge, (I will be you're honey bee.....mmmmm honey)
- I Think the New Album Title Should
Be...Mozo
- Comments: PG
rocks!
MikeA
- Favorite Album Overall, it's US, although right now it's UP.
It seems they all take a turn at the top but US is there more
than the rest. PG1 is up there a lot, as is Passion.
Do you really expect me to pick just one?
Favorite Song Any PG favorite song list should begin and
end with Secret World...the listener can decide which version
begins and which ends, though.
Favorite Gabriel-Era Genesis Album Easy...the Lamb.
Least Favorite Song This is probably hedging, but
any version (not Live) of Biko other than the PG3 version.
I've heard a couple and don't like either.
Favorite Music Video My favorite is Sledgehammer
solely because of the change it brought to music videos.
Favorite Tour I've only been lucky enough to seem him
twice: with the Amnesty tour in the late 80s and last year.
I enjoyed the one last year more. I have to say, however,
that having seen Secret World on DVD, that show would have been
awesome to see in person.
Favorite CD ROM Eve, it's the only one I've seen.
Best Hair Era I'm glad to seem him come over to the
bald side...we need more folks like him...
Favorite Album Cover Passion
Favorite Non-Album Song I really like Fallen Angel and
When You're Falling, if that one counts
Favorite Collaboration Have to go with Kate Bush here
Favorite Non-Gabriellian Artist Cocteau Twins, Patrick
O'Hearn, U2, Talking Heads, Tangerine Dream, Sinead Lohan, Spacecraft,
David Gray, and most of the music played on musical starstreams
Favorite Pastime Between Album Releases I restore creeks
and streams for a living and do my best to raise my kid the right
way the rest of the time
Best *Idea* For a Collaboration Me, PG and all the Guinness
we care to drink...
I Think the New Album Title Should Be...there have been
lots of good suggestions but I think I/O is the best, especially
if it's a two album set.
Comments: drink up dreamers, you're running
dry
