The Peter Gabriel Scrapbook
A few years ago, there used to be several "public
archives" of Peter Gabriel and Genesis photos,
usually housed on University servers. There also used to be a few good
"bootleg" sites that also contained good and little seen Gabriel
picts. However, many of these archives have since been long gone.
The Solsbury Hill Homepage Committee had been lamenting the lack of good
Gabriel pictures archives when we got a message from an Honorary Solsburian
from Italy: Stefano, aka Mr. Mozo Rising. He said he had some Gabriel
pictures from several sources, and he was wanting to get rid of some of
them. Would we be interested in having them? he asked. Sure, we said.
Probably nothing we haven't seen before, we thought, but hey,
good PG picts is good PG picts.
Well, we were pleasantly surprised to find that Mr. Mozo had sent
us quite a collection to fill the void out there in good Pete picts. Many
of these pictures
were featured in Italian magazines which have not seen the light of day
anywhere else. Then while rummaging around Solsbury HQ, we found some
good obscure PG picts in our own collection that hadn't been scanned.
Then Rraven had a nice collection, but she decided that she didn't want
to maintain her site any longer, and said that we were welcome to take
whatever pictures we wanted. so we did.
The someone reminded us of Lith's picture collection, and we asked her
permission to use some of her stuff.
We decided to take all of these pictures and share them with the fans.
We hope you enjoy them.
Some things to note:
 Some of the pictures came from old magazines
and newspapers, and therefore, not in the best of conditions. We're going
to try to "clean" some of these up with Photoshop, but many
of them we're going to leave as is. Why? We want people to know that these
came from actual scrapbooks that have been cut, pasted, and kept by real
fans.
Some of these pictures are familiar...either
they have been featured online at one time but has since been taken offline,
or are simply alternate poses from more popular shots that have been taken
from the same photo session.
Some pictures may appear to be of poor quality,
but it's only because it's being displayed at a smaller size. The larger
size is usually much better in quality, but we couldn't put all of the
pictures on the same page.
